So you feel that stain, dried up discussions without weight
It's that feeling, oh, that you will not have to destroy
It's that feeling, oh, that you will not have to ignore, ignore
Dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty
So you've been plagued, but is everything okay, boy? But let it go
I cannot bear the shallow words they throw
It's that feeling, oh, that you will not have to employ
It's that feeling that you will not... it's got to go, it's got to go
Dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty
Dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty
The conversation going nowhere, transparent as fuck
The conversation must be over 'cause all I see is mud
Dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty
Dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty walls, dirty
Our Lady Peace
Dirty Walls
I don’t have a lot of memory of that song. It was really about the guitar lick and the groove and we just forged the song around it. I’m trying to even remember the lyrics and I don’t.... Yeah, it’s just one of those grungy rock songs that we love to play and I hate to say it but there really wasn’t a whole lot of meaning in that song for me compared to some other songs.- Raine Maida, CBC, 21 Mar. 2014
